Sha'Carri Richardson delivered an electric early-season performance in the women's 100 meters on Saturday in a high profile Continental Tour Silver meet at Ansin Sports Complex near Miami.

Richardson put a time of 10.57 on the scoreboard, aided by a +4.1 meters-per-second tailwind, that was the fourth-fastest performance in history under all conditions. Only Florence Griffith-Joyner (10.49 WR and 10.54w) and Elaine Thompson-Herah (10.54 wind legal) have covered the distance faster, regardless of wind.

Of course, 4.1 wind does make a difference. Commentator Ato Boldon said the conversion to wind-legal would equate to 10.77, still an incredibly fast way to begin April.

Richardson ran a first-round time of 10.72 (+2.8w) less than an hour earlier.

Her wind-legal personal best is 10.72, also on the track at Miramar two years ago.

Winds pushed many of Saturday's races out of bounds for records purposes.

Christian Coleman outleaned U20 world champion Letsile Tebogo of Botswana as both were timed in 20.00 seconds in one of few wind-legal races. Coleman was timed in 19.996 and Tebogo 19.999.

Abby Steiner ran a world-leading time of 22.23 seconds, also with a legal time of 1.8. Tamari Davis was a close second in a personal best 22.31.

Jamaicans Oblique Seville and Ackeem Blake went 1-2 in the men's 100 meters in 9.91 and 9.93 seconds, respectively. The wind reading was +2.2.

Tonea Marshall won the women's 100-meter hurdles in 12.62 (+2.2w).

Alonzo Russell of the Bahamas ran a personal best 44.93 to win the men's 400 meters.

In the women's 400 meters, Shamier Little ran 50.73 seconds for the win.

Ajee Wilson won the women's 800 meters in a season-opening time of 2:02.95.

Will Williams of the U.S. jumped a lifetime best distance of 27 feet, 0.75 inches, but with an aiding wind of +4.5.

Ruth Usoro of Nigeria won the women's long jump competition with 22-4.50 (+2.5w).
